Lilian
Lilian is the second of seven children. She was able to attend school however her father felt strongly that she needed to quit school and get married as is their custom. She became pregnant and felt cornered. She did not want to give up on her dream of becoming a beautician to become a housewife and ended up running away. She went to the local chief to seek refuge and he intervened and helped her to be rescued into the Mully family alongside her daughter, Edna. She is a soft-spoken girl and loves to sing. She now feels safe for the first time in many years.

MCF Malindi provides residential care and rehabilitation to vulnerable girls including street girls, child prostitutes, child laborers, child mothers with their babies, orphaned children, school dropouts, internally displaced children as well as abused and abandoned children. The Vocational Training Center offers hairdressing, beauty therapy, tailoring, and dressmaking for those who have been rescued.
