Photo of Jane

Jane Mwelu Flora

Jane is the youngest of two children. She lived with her mother after her parents separated but her mother was arrested soon after the separation. Jane's grandmother took over as guardian but, due to age and poor health, was not able to send Jane to school or meet her basic needs. Their church helped but that was not sustainable in the long term. Their pastor referred them to MCF where Jane is able to go to school and doesn't have to worry about her next meal. She loves to read and wants to become a nurse.
