Photo of Chum

Chum Mueni

Chum comes from a single parented family. Her mother worked as a barmaid and was arrested for prostitution. This meant that Chum's sister being the eldest of 4 children stepped up to become the parent. Well-wishers at times came to assist them with food, shelter, and clothing. Their 2nd brother was among street children rescued by MCF in Matuu in 2014. Their eldest sister, seeing how their brother was now living a better life, made her way to MCF to seek help and they were rescued. Chum is a friendly but shy girl who is active and loves playing at the swing sets.
