Monica Nduku

Monica is the fourth born in a family of six and comes from the Kithimani market area in Machakos County. She was forced to drop out of school because her parents were destitute and unable to provide the educational fees needed. At the age of 9, Monica began living in the streets and would beg to be able to eat. MCF rescued Monica during a street outreach program on the Day of the Street Child in April 2019 to give her access to care and protection. Monica started in grade 1 at MCF but is advancing and working hard to achieve her dream of becoming a doctor.
