Alex comes from a family with six siblings. His father is a fisherman and his mother is a housewife. The money his father earns cannot provide for all the family needs. The children would often go to bed hungry, not go to school or sometimes go help their father out in the ocean. Alex likes playing football and wants to become a pilot.

Primary School
Vipingo is a rural slum area located in Kilifi district in Coast Province. Located along the coastline near Mombasa, Kenya, MCF rescues, rehabilitates and educates orphans and other vulnerable children from the surrounding community who have been largely affected by child sex tourism. Our day center offers a free nutritious meal to all the children while our formal education program ensures access to quality education. The MCF In His Grace primary school currently has approximately 270 students.
